A summer of lavender mist

MorenaThis month we have a look at lavender hydrosol or lavender mist. Hydrosols are the by-product of the making of essential oil. Hydrosols are also known as floral water. They contain about 1% essential oil with the remainder being infused lavender water.We always look for great data that support the effectiveness of lavender products. One recent studyhttps://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s40415-019-00518-1 looked at the effectiveness of lavender mist (hydrosol) on other plants. "The results proved that all the genes examined were expressed more in the plants treated with lavender hydrosol than in the untreated controls."The results suggest that lavender hydrosol promotes antioxidant activity in plant cells. It does this by activating antioxidant and plant defense mechanisms, ultimately promoting plant growth. A similar piece of research suggested the use of lavender mist in cosmetic production was also helpful in antimicrobial activity.We have both Grosso and Pacific Blue mist (hydrosol) avaiable now.Read more…The summer harvest is over and its great to see our fanatastic crops of oil from both Grosso and Pacific Blue in the bottles! Our lavender mist (hydrosol) is great for a face spray anytime of the year.The last part of summer has been hot and very dry.
