The science behind the scent of lavender has always been challenging. Many people can outline the benefits of lavender to them, but independently proving them can be challenging.

Later in this blog we highlight some new research that provides proof of the calming effects of lavender scent.

We are now in maintenance mode as winter approaches.

The tasks ahead include: finishing pruning, hand weeding and adding a further 520 Pacific Blue new plants to our fields.

Ongoing reseach suggests that for some people components of lavender may eventually replace current anxiety-relieving drugs like benzodiazepines.

Numerous studies now confirm the potent relaxing effects of linalool, a fragrant alcohol found in lavender extracts.

Vaporized linalool could provide a safe alternative for patients who have difficulties with oral or suppository approaches. Such treatment can alleviate preoperative stress.
